We were here, there and everywhere when we attended RHS Chelsea Flower Show last year, with five clients keeping us on our toes! And the pace won’t stop this year as we’re set to put our best dresses on (or it’d have to be our best suits if you’re our only male team member, Ed!) once again and head down to RHS Chelsea in May.
The Princess of Wales made an unannounced visit to the Royal Entomological Society show garden at Chelsea Flower Show in 2023. Pictured here with garden designer Tom Massey
We look forward to Press Day every year, as it gives us the opportunity to get an exclusive first look at the amazing show gardens that are lined up, as well as take a gander at some of the amazing horticultural businesses that will be on the stands. And if we’re lucky, we might spot some royalty like we did last year when the Princess of Wales (!!!) showed up to the Royal Entomological Society’s show garden, where our friends at Baker Consultantshad installed their soil listening station as part of the RES garden by garden designer, Tom Massey. She was as lovely in the flesh as she is on the thousands of images and footage we’ve all seen of her over the years 🤩
The Lavender from the Griffin Glasshouse NGS collection raises cash for the National Gardens Scheme with each glasshouse sold.
This year, our friends at Griffin Glasshouses will be back on Royal Hospital Way, where they’ll be taking up their usual position on the north side of the Floral Marquee. The public will be able to admire three of their glorious glasshouses; their classic small panel-sided glasshouse and the show-stopping NGS Lavender and slightly smaller but equally elegant NGS Thyme from their fundraising National Garden Scheme collection.
The National Garden Scheme is one Griffin Glasshouses’ closest charity partners, and will have their very own show garden on Main Avenue this year. The garden’s theme pays homage to the work of the NGS, and is supported by Project Giving Back and designed by Tom Stuart-Smith – who has designed eight gold-medal winning gardens at Chelsea. It goes without saying that we are really looking forward to seeing this garden this year.
Project Giving Back also supported the Horatio’s Garden designed by Hugo Bugg and Charlotte Harris, pictured here below. Project Giving Back were also behind supporting the Royal Entomological Society’s garden last year as well. A superb charity that helps other charities fundraise through this unique opportunity.

Our friends at Mr. Fothergill’s have been a mainstay on Eastern Avenue over the years, will be back selling their much-loved seeds at special show prices once again.
Over the years, Mr Fothergill’s have built a strong relationship with the Chelsea Pensioners, retired soldiers who reside in Royal Hospital Chelsea. They usually give the team a visit, so we’re looking forward to seeing the wonderful ex-servicemen and women that are usually in attendance at the show, and hopefully stealing some great gardening tips from them!
The Mr Fothergill’s stand on Eastern Avenue attracted a coveted 4-stars in 2023.
From a Bridgerton-themed garden to a garden designed by children (where no adults are allowed, so we’ll have to sneak in somehow!), we’re looking forward to seeing the amazing and intriguing show gardens that are lined up for this year. We’ll be there for a couple of days, so if you’d like to have a chat please feel free to get in touch, or wave to us across the crowds of people!
