The partnership forged with the RHS has been strengthened with the launch in 2021 of this new range of RHS Wildlife Seed Mixes by Mr Fothergills for the RHS. Along with a significant increase in the Wildflower Seeds available for the first time in 2021, there’s an emphasis on the natural environment with the new product launches this year.

An unforeseeable impact of the UK lockdown due to Covid19 in 2020 was a sudden surge in interest in gardening across the UK. Seed merchants across the UK found themselves struggling to keep up with the demand and there were unprecedented levels of sales online, fuelled by the closure of the country’s UK garden centres.

Demand in early 2021 is already trending higher than usual levels at Mr Fothergill’s as the UK entered its third lockdown, and one that promises perhaps to be the longest of all the lockdowns the country has endured so far.
