The Weiss Technik UK team’s dedication to innovation and customer service led to a record-breaking year in 2024, solidifying their position as a leader in environmental simulation solutions. Beyond business success, Weiss Technik UK also continues to make a difference, both through supporting meaningful charities and gearing up for an action-packed 2025. So, here are we are to shout about the latest developments over at Weiss Technik UK!
As Weiss Technik UK expanded, so did its team! At the end of 2024, the Sales team welcomed Business Development Managers Roxanne Gale and Steve Harris, both bringing their own unique professional and personal experiences to their roles.
Steve joined with over 30 years of sales experience, with 18 of those years in scientific and industrial sales, making him well-versed in the needs of complex industries. His background in the Armed Services, which saw him live at 34 addresses in 56 years, has made him highly adaptable and skilled at forging strong connections wherever he goes.
Roxanne’s journey into environmental test chambers took a more unconventional route than Steve’s (to say the least!). A former internationally acclaimed professional dancer, she holds British, European and World Champion titles in Line Dancing and American Couples Dancing, alongside world titles in Waltz, Cha Cha, Two Step and East & West Coast Swing. However, after three knee surgeries, Roxanne explored her passion for sustainability, pursuing qualifications in Environmental Science and Environmental Management. Over the last decade, she has thrived in a start-up specialising in automated environmental monitoring solutions, gaining hands-on experience in operations, quality assurance, sales and account management. So, when it comes to diverse skill sets, Roxanne has that one in the bag!
And, the company’s growth didn’t stop there! The New Year also welcomed another Business Development Manager, Paul Burroughs. With more than 20 years of sales experience, Paul has worked with industry leaders as Struers, Mettler Toledo, Bronkhorst and Alicat. His hands-on experience in heat treatment and optical coatings makes him a perfect fit for Weiss Technik UK’s environmental testing solutions, adding valuable insight to their ever-expanding portfolio.
With these new additions, Weiss Technik UK has strengthened its team with a wealth of expertise across diverse industries, reflecting their commitment to innovation, excellence and building strong relationships across the sectors they serve.
Giving back is at the core of Weiss Technik UK’s values, and each year they commit to supporting a new charity, each chosen based on causes close to the hearts of the team.
The first year they launched this initiative, the company supported Falcon Support Services, a Loughborough-based charity helping homeless and vulnerable people gain independence and stability. The organisation provides hot meals, housing solutions, financial advice and essential services to those in need, making a tangible difference in tackling homelessness.
Last year, their chosen charity was Forget-Me-Not-Chorus, a wonderful charity dedicated to bringing joy to those living with and alongside dementia through the power of singing. By hosting choir sessions in care homes, hospices and even online, the charity helps individuals and those supporting them feel connected and uplifted through music.
And now we’re in 2025, Weiss Technik is supporting Rainbows, a children’s hospice in the East Midlands that provides specialist care to over 750 babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. From palliative and end-of-life care to short breaks and emotional support, Rainbows helps families make precious memories together. To help raise awareness and funds for the charity, some members of the Weiss Technik UK team will be taking on a sprint triathlon in March and bravely committing to a skydiving challenge in the summer.
Weiss Technik UK’s commitment to giving back goes beyond donations, it’s about actively supporting causes that make a real difference. With each new year and each new charity, Weiss Technik UK continues to show that their success isn’t just measured in business growth, but also in the positive impact they have on their community.
The year wouldn’t be complete without a number of key events to attend, with the team set to showcase their environmental simulation solutions at various shows across various sectors throughout the UK and Europe. From rubbing shoulders with aerospace professionals at the Midlands Aerospace Alliance (MAA) annual conference to exploring the latest advancements in battery technology at the Battery Cells and Systems Expo, their packed events calendar highlights the diverse industries they support.
Take a look at which events they’re heading to here.
As the team at Weiss Technik UK forge ahead into another promising year, we at Destination Digital are excited to watch their journey continue!
