Connecting Our Clients To Get the Job Done

At Destination Digital, we love working closely with our clients and establishing strong professional networks that are both friendly and functional. It’s even better when we can use those networks to connect our clients together to help each other out!

Recently, we were able to put our client GT Couriers – a local courier company – in touch with one of our other clients, Mr Fothergill’s, to help them transport plants to a gardening event. Although GT Couriers normally deal with heavy industrial b2b deliveries, we knew that Wayne and his fleet could be trusted to provide the delicate touch that this fragile cargo needed and in a timely manner.

The job involved GT heading to one of the Mr F plant nurseries in Cambridge to retrieve various trays and flower plants, and safely transport them to the prestigious RHS Hampton Court Palace Garden Festival to provide displays of beautiful blooms for the Beardy Gardener’s Giving Garden.

Famous for its flowers and celebrating its 30th show this year, RHS Hampton Court is a gardening event that takes place at the historic Hampton Court Palace in July, boasting a bonanza of glorious gardens and fabulous flowers.

The driver was tasked with collecting the various plants needed at 9am Saturday morning during the festival, and given strict instructions to ensure that the plants were handled with great care, and topped up with more water if needed to see them through their journey. So, armed with a bottle of water, the driver secured the trays in his van at the booked time and headed on his way.

He landed at the show at 11.45am and, after navigating his way through the busy event to meet the Leigh aka the Beardy Gardener, he handed over the plants so that Leigh could transport them on, deeper into the grounds to add to his garden.  Both parties were happy, with all plants safely signed, sealed and delivered for midday.

With one successful delivery completed, Mr Fothergill’s enlisted the help of GT again earlier this month to deliver more plants for the BBC Gardeners’ World Autumn Fair at Audley End House & Gardens, where Mr Fothergill’s supplied various flower plants that had been hand dug from the Mr Fothergill’s Trials Grounds, destined for another social media influencer called Cara, aka @makeitflourish’s, border garden. Cara’s garden was one of two gardens Mr Fothergill’s were sponsoring at the event and won Gold as well as People’s Choice, which is a high accolade indeed for a first time show garden designer!
