As a business located in the heart of the Peak District, we can tell you first-hand about the breath-taking landscapes we are surrounded by at every turn. And as the Peak District National Park welcomes over 13.25 million visitors every year, we’re not the only ones who think this!
It’s the Park’s stunning scenery that makes it the perfect location for some time away, whether that be for a day, a weekend break or a week-long trip. There’s no better way to explore the nooks, crannies, dales and valleys of the Peak District by bike, which is where our friends at Peak District Bike Hire come in!
The newest edition to our list of fabulous clients have bike hire centres in Ashbourne, Derwent and Parsley Hay, providing ample opportunity for families, friends and lone adventurers to rent a bike and explore the trails that cover the Peak District. From adult bikes and child bikes to trampers and tandems, there’s a bike to suit everyone, whatever their ability might be.
Ashbourne Bike Hire Centre is situated at the southern end of the beautiful Tissington Trail, just outside the vibrant market town of Ashbourne in the Derbyshire Dales. Known as the “gateway to the Peak District”, Ashbourne has so much to see with its fascinating history and architecture, as well as the spectacular limestone surroundings of the White Peak.
The Tissington Trail was once the London and North Western Railway between Buxton and Ashbourne, and to this day those who cycle along the trail will come across the former station platforms, signal boxes and much more that this historical trail has to offer.

The Derwent Bike Hire Centre is located in the popular and picturesque Derwent Valley, a location that’s exceptionally rich in wildlife with beautiful bluebell woodlands and moorland, and an abundance of stunning scenery thanks to the Derwent Dam and Ladybower Reservoir.
There are a number of routes for cyclists around the reservoirs, both easy going and more challenging routes, so everyone can hop on a bike from this incredible hire centre that’s easily accessible from Sheffield.

Bringing it back to the southern area of the Peak District, we’ll head to the other end of the Tissington Trail near Buxton!
Parsley Hay is the perfect starting point to explore the Peak District from. You can either head south to Ashbourne or head north towards Buxton and explore the captivating charm of the Peaks. Buxton has attracted visitors for thousands of years to bathe in the mineral waters, as well as its gorgeous Georgian and Victorian architecture, so it is well worth a cycle down the High Peak Trail!

To kick off a summer of cycling, we took over the social media for the Peak District Bike Hire Centres and have been pushing their bike hire options left, right and centre. We’ve also been out on the trails ourselves to capture some footage for Instagram Reels, as well as images of the locations themselves so people know exactly what to expect when they arrive.
As part of supporting their social media strategy, we’ve also set up some Facebook ads to try and get people cycling before the school summer holidays are up for another year!
So, please join us in giving them a massive welcome! We can’t wait to see more people hitting the trails on bikes and exploring the beauty this part of the country has to offer.
